10 Easy Ways to Be green x 3
As parents and entrepreneurs, we know what it is like to manage a very full life.
That’s why we look for ways to be good to the earth without being burdensome! Some
of our suggestions may even reduce your “to do” list. See if you can find one or
two that works for you. If you have other ideas, we want to hear from you. Send
your suggestions to info@greenx3.com and watch for it on our home page!
- Wrap gifts with your child’s artwork or decorated paper bags. This works so well
for us that we don’t even sell gift wrap!
- Reduce energy consumption by choosing one appliance or computer to unplug every
day.
- Don’t settle for just using reusable bags at the grocery store. Take your reusable
bags to department and drug stores too. (Keep them in your front seat or trunk.)

- Next time your child wants a new toy, suggest they exchange one with a friend instead.
- Send a note that grows. When writing a note to a friend or teacher use a
plant-a-note. Embedded with flower seeds, these notes can be planted and bloom!
- Have a “no gift” birthday party.
- Have dinner by candlelight once a week. See
Earth Hour every week for supplies.
- Buy gifts made by victims of modern-day slavery (coming soon). You may just be contributing to
saving someone’s life.
- Next occasion make a donation to a friend or relative’s favorite charity rather
than buying them something they don’t need.
